Tipu Sultan

Tipu Sultan, also known as the Tiger of Mysore, was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in India. He was born in 1750 in Devanahalli, a small town near Bangalore. His father, Hyder Ali, was the ruler of Mysore and his mother was Fatima Fakhr-un-Nisa.

Tipu Sultan was raised by his father and his uncle, who was also a ruler of Mysore. He was educated in Islamic studies and military tactics. He was known for his bravery and military prowess.

Tipu Sultan was an accomplished military leader and was known for his fort constructions. He built many forts throughout his kingdom, including the famous Bangalore Fort. He also built the fort of Seringapatam, which was his capital.

Tipu Sultan was also known for his many battles. He fought against the British East India Company in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War, which ended in 1799. He also fought against the Marathas and the Nizam of Hyderabad.

Tipu Sultan died in 1799 during the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War. He was killed in the Battle of Seringapatam. His death marked the end of the Mysore kingdom and the beginning of British rule in India.

Tipu Sultan was a brave and courageous ruler who fought for the independence of his kingdom. He was a great military leader and a visionary ruler. His legacy lives on in the many forts he built and the battles he fought.

Karsanbhai Patel Born into a farmer family from north Gujarat, Karsanbhai finished his B.Sc. in Chemistry at age 21 and worked as a lab technician, first in the New Cotton Mills, Ahmedabad, of the Lalbhai group and then at the Geology and Mining Department of the state Government.
