Tipu Sultan, also known as the Tiger of Mysore, was a ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in India. He was born in 1750 in Devanahalli, a small town near Bangalore. His father, Hyder Ali, was the ruler of Mysore and his mother was Fatima Fakhr-un-Nisa.

Tipu Sultan was raised by his father and his uncle, who was also a ruler of Mysore. He was educated in Islamic studies and military tactics. He was known for his bravery and military prowess.
