Warren Buffet Warren Buffet is one of the most successful investors in the world. He is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, a multinational conglomerate holding company. He is considered one of the most successful investors in the world, and is often referred to as the "Oracle of Omaha" due to his uncanny ability to pick stocks and make profitable investments. Buffet was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1930. He was the second of three children, and his father was a stockbroker and Congressman. He showed an early interest in business and investing, and at the age of 11 he purchased his first stock. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and then went on to graduate from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
